Currently, Abstergo Entertainment, a subsidiary of Abstergo that is responsible for producing multimedia products, launches its first major product, Liberation, a video game about the life of Aveline de Grandpré the Murderer. The game, however, is heavily censored, with any details related to the Assassins – Templar war is being committed, in an attempt to portray the Assassins as the villainous force. As the player advances in the game, messages are received by a group of hackers known as a scholar, which gives them access to the full story hidden behind the Abstergo censorship attempts.
